Supervillains Unleashed: Session Summaries and Dev log
Supervillains Unleashed!
Is now in playtesting. This game uses the Simple Superheroes' "Unleashed" engine while adding a major "scheme" subsystem that incorporates dominos.
Players play as proactive villains, and always have minions. Minions are played by your fellow players. The GM responds as the world: media, police, other criminals, and of course Superheroes.
Any truly ambitious scheme will always fail because some super will ultimately over turn it, but the small victories, and the brief moments of triumph are all the sweeter.

Alpha Session 1
Sunday 2025-03-02
Players:
Setting Map: Ottawa-Gatineau 2005
Atomic Rooster's scheme was to infiltrate and loot a secret bunker beneath Rideau center and
steal radioactive materials to power himself and his experiments. He fought with some security as well as with Tesla and the Ant.
These two managed to stop his getaway vehicle in a running battle.
Earned 6 xp.
Jimothy's scheme was more ambitious He sought to make a huge number of department of defense members
servants of the Dark Powers and finalize the Pact in a dark Ritual. Jimothy managed to convince many and was brought on as a technician as part of Task force Alpha.
At the final hour this was stopped by Inquisitor, with support from
Zero, and Fortune.

Three-Slot Session Two
Sunday 2025-08-10
David and Kelley return as Jimothy and Atomic Rooster. The location was shifted as we determined that they were both laying low for a bit.
Setting Map: Cobourg-Port Hope 2023
Both players added their villainous goals , evil habit and relation. But doffered using any XP to improve Talents.
Timothy's scheme was to get revenge by starting and online smear campaign and eventually framing Inquistor for a violent ant (Burning down a Pub) in Port Hope.
He exchange some hacking roles and such. The public-a subbett always ready to be suspicions came on board. He fought Swift Sunrise twice. Once in his lair when she tried to siege the evidence to clear Inquisitor.
Quite successful

Atomic Rooster's scheme is still underway. He set up a headquarters on Rice Lake after a loan from his mother, and recruited the "maple dumpling gang:' These he employed in his maple Syrup skimming racket. Now he has extracted considerable
cesium-137 from the syrup and plans to build a nuclear reactor! Someone is on his tail, but Tom Turkey didn't id them.
Three shot session 1

Players:
Tempest's scheme was to
repatriate a bunch of Greek artifacts back to Greece. In this he was moderately successful. Managing to move some very valuable gold masks to a curator. He was forced by Aria and Mr. Squirrel to abandon
much of what he otherwise
robbed from the Civ Museum. Earned 6 Xp.
Hmm was it Aria? the
Mist ploy worked far to well against her. Somebody was flying though
Queen Nonb scheme was to steal a train from the real world and take it into the dream realm. Where she could then use it to move her sent quickly across both dream and reality.
She fought Mystic Knight and the Summoner, and escaped with the train briefly.
Summoner set a trap for her creating "the Dream King" of Artifice city, whom she battled until he trapped her.

three-shot session 3
Sunday 2025-08-17
Peter decided to make a new villain as he wasn't really happy with how Tempest had turned out. Some of this was about Talents but also some was about concept.
"Tempest was more of an anti-hero."
Chris added an evil habit to Queen Non (giving ppl nightmares) and made the Summoner her Nemesis.
Players:
teleport through wires.
sentient programs.
Queen Non's Evil scheme was to make Summoner settle down and marry a "nice girl" and give her great-grandchildren. This involved laying both dream compulsions and spells on a certain Katy Perry. This sort of worked but eventually led to her team bringing in mentalist "Link" to see what was going on.
He sensed magic, and went to confront the Sommer and a classic Superhero miss understanding followed. However they were able to resolve these differences before Queen non's plot got to much further. Link and summoner teamed up to confronted her in her realm.
The two extracted an oath that Ron would stay out of "their" world for nine years and Summoner would try to find a "nice girl!

Terrorbytes scheme was to get access to all manner of Canadian systems and take over the world. (eventually) 1
He started with access to Defense Department as well as Nav Canada. Virus 1.0 got captured by Tesla when virus tried to gain robot bodies from Blackthorne Correctional Futility-KR L-100. This lead to Terabyte restoring, and creating Virus 2.1
A DND sys admin was removed from power (all tech he touched got corrupted b viruses). - Lieutenant Phil Zebart/distracted Tesla by causing blackouts across the city.
A confrontation occurred at a hospital mainframe with the Smackdown Kid, that Terrorbyte narrowly escaped.
Unfortunately Smackdown Kid's subsequent media appearances lead to Tesla and his team up and finding of Terrorbytes lair.
The two heroes were just able to stop him escaping with his access and intel, but not the escape itself.
Terrorbyte was busy competing with Tesla's invention "Franklin" but did partially facilitate said escape.
