Logos for Compose Dream Games - Opinions

As we gear up to launching a crowd-funding to get Superheroes Unleashed a nice polished printing, I've had talented Joe Kawano (a talented fellow I met at FanExpo last year) whip up a few logos for the company.

I'd love to have some feedback on what you all think.

A few things to keep in mind:

 

  1. The Logo will be used on the site, on the books (which will be printed like classic comic books) and in a couple videos.
  2. The logo may also appear on none "superhero" projects . . .
Feel free to suggest possible revisions if you like a concept but think something would make it better.

    My vote would go to B. C is a bit too esoteric for me. I like the simplicity of A and how striking the graphic is but it doesn't really communicate the company to me. B is a good blend simple graphic yet appealing so easily used as an imprint on your material. Plus it gets the msg of your company across.

    With A, I don't get a sense of what the graphic is supposed to represent, and "CD" wouldn't communicate anything to me either.

    What about combining elements of C with B? A more traditional thought bubble as Orange Skies mentions with a rework of the figure so its a big more discernible. It took me a few looks to get the building community out of dreams in figure C so i prefer B's more straightforward msg.

    C. I did not see the buildings in the thought bubble but now I know why. The black outline of the bubble is too distracting. If you only had the yellow dream bubble and the buildings, it would be really nice and catchy. A does not convey an idea about a business to someone who sees it for the first time. But the ink splash is very nice. B has a very neat idea but it is too simple, and the 2 elements of the logo look almost separate.

    I'm going to go with B, but I'd try to clean up the guy's outline a bit to make it easier to identify.

    I guess you've probably made your choice already, but my point of view would be that A is by far the cleanest. B is too muddied and the stickman idiom is overused. C is OK but the text does not sit nicely underneath that big wide logo and I find it too complex. I'd therefore vote for A *but* I think it would be better for a two-tone effect as seen in C.
