What might be hiding beneath a stranger’s smile? What are they beholden to, in the depths of their minds, where no one else may tread? 

What if a mirror could reflect all that lies within?

What Reflects from Within is a Mothership 1E RPG one-shot adventure for 1-4 players that explores what lies beneath the surface of the human psyche: the things we choose to let go of, or those we choose to hold on to long after the moment has passed. 

Uturiya is an isolated mining asteroid that produces high-grade optical equipment using a unique alloy found only on its surface. After weeks of no contact from the facility, corporate suspects a communication failure. Corporate has commissioned your group to investigate and repair the facility’s communications equipment.

Inspired by surreal horror classics, such as Silent Hill 2 and Signalis, this psychological horror module can be played as an independent oneshot, but also works especially well in ongoing campaigns, letting players explore their characters' backstories. This module includes everything a warden needs to run the story, both in color and printer-friendly formats, including:

• An immersive, terminal-style map
• NPC backgrounds and stats
• A horror with unique, mirror-inspired mechanics
• Notes for both players and wardens on how to get satisfying story results
  • Extensive Warden advice to ensure they get the most out of their play 
• Supplementary material to hand to players
  • A player facing map with appropriate room icons, both regular and mirrored versions
  • A poker card sized warden hand out for when one cannot resist the beckoning
