GenoFunk is an RPG about dying Heroes in a world touched by the Apocalypse.
In a transhuman future beyond our rosiest fantasy of a perfect society, the arrival of “The Event” tears apart every piece of technology humanity has armored itself with. Worst of all, it takes
away the ability to create or recreate electricity.

The protagonist suffer from the fictional Sewer – Sterling Syndrome or Se.S, a disease with roughly the same incidence as diabetes. The Event has left them unable to get the proper medication. On their journey towards
hope, they cling on to the strange fellow that visits them one day: Mr. Wonder.

Walking towards a place where power still exists and where salvation might yet hide, the characters venture in this fast-decaying world with only a crystal radio set to guide them. They’ll be forced to face their human
nature as it grows back from underneath their chrome-plated skin, clawing its way to the surface.

The rules here are simplified and there is no complete GENOME path (meaning you won’t see the full extent of the mutation brought onto the Characters by Se.S), nor a complete GOLDEN ROAD (meaning you won’t see the full extent of the influence the Players’ KARMA can have over the story). You’ll just get a taste of both! :)

GenoFunk uses a d6 success pool where stats can be spent for more dice or a bonus on all dice. Once spent they are Consumed with the possibility of being Regained, but may also be Erased.
