Discuss Simple Superheroes #1: The Experiment -- New Carthage part 1
This adventure and city supplement was released in November 2022. There was a one week kickstarter to help fund it's art and printing. You can purchase it here: composedreamgames.com/marketplace/simple-superheroes-1
Running versions of this scenario at Phantasm and other game conventions has had a big impact on this module. (It was great to be able to first have it for sale in person at our Compose Dream Games RPG Marketplace booth at Phantasm.)
We'd love to here what folks who have picked up the module think of it. Happy to answer questions! Let me know if there is anything I can clarify or improve in future adventure modules.
The next module we release will be set in Challice City, a more magical northern city, and written by Chris Challice (the name for the city was decided before I even met Chris!). There's already a solid document that is moving into the editing and art phase.
This will be followed by New Carthage part 2: Our Genetics, and will focus more on Professor Adrakis the renown geneticist and Task Force Alpha - the metahuman "police."

This looks like a really interesting module. The fact that it’s been run at conventions like Phantasm definitely shows it’s been tested with real players, which always adds confidence. New Carthage sounds like a strong setting, and the focus on genetics and metahuman enforcement is a cool angle for superhero campaigns. I’m also curious to see how Challice City’s magical vibe will contrast with this.
For fans who enjoy exploring superhero content and related gaming experiences, the redacted is another nice place to discover and enjoy similar entertainment. Looking forward to future releases!
Mod voice: @Spoemand, I appreciate you leaving a thoughtful comment. In general we are fine with links to tabletop RPG material. That isn't what you have done across a couple posts. Instead linking to online computer games.
